Memorial Day 2009

Our parade is pretty small in Standish! They have a loyalty Day parade that is a long standing tradition that honors Vets and is much larger. We also took time to celebrate Nicoles 25th Birthday!

PLUS we went out and picked morel mushrooms for me and fried them up! Their meal was delicious!

After dinner at Bruce and Chassidy's, we went to moms.

Jake wrote out a mothers day card for me, and they gave me a plant and decorative stone.

It was the best mothers day ever.............so far!

A co worker brought in some morels for me, I expected one or two and got all these! What a wonderful treat! And they bring wonderful memories with each bite.

Lansing Lobby Days with the MLBA 2009

Always enjoy seeing the capitol and especially the dome, also enjoy visiting with Rep. Tim Moore and Senator Barcia. Dave stays busy with meetings and doing the talking for their issues. He is so good at it. Always makes me proud.
Tim Moore and I were talking about our love for the archetecture and he asked me if I would like to see the safe from the 1800's in the Capitol, so he took us, wow, that was inpressive, it was the treasures office, and in a front corner office that is occupied by someone I didnt catch the name of, he let us look in his office as well, the fireplace, heavy drapes, ornate woodwork just made me think of how it must have been in the 1800's.
